Pragaash row-A mindless race

The only girl band of Kashmir ‘Pragaash’ is in middle of controversy for reasons known to those who want to suppress these young girls. Their initiative to do something different from other girls have landed them in ‘no man’s land’ in their own land, with moral dictators of our society doing every bit to sideline them.

But what is more shocking is ‘Fatwa’ issued by Grand Mufti Bashir-ud-din who without giving second thoughts about the whole issue made these girls infidel in their own land within minutes. First if it was handful of morons who were threatening these girls but now sensible, responsible and high intellectuals have started their campaign against this young band of girls, thus further degrading their morale.

If these girls are doing unislamic activities, ruining our culture then why we are silent about other things that are real distracters. But no, that will never happen because here everything is seasonal based and situation based.

But everyone is forgetting one thing, the impact of all this non-sense on the minds of these young girls. If this torture can make them better person then you are winner but as of now no signs of betterment is visible on their face but yes- a fear.

Do we really want them to live in fear and force them to shift to some other state where they can fulfill their dreams. If yes then you are open to run any mindless campaign against any citizen of the state for no reasons. But that will not save our culture but it will have negative impact on the minds of all youngsters who want to do something different.

From next time every young, creative mind will think thrice and might consult these society builders about their career plans because who knows tomorrow they will object about that also. Then who will stop these moral dictators of our society, as of now nobody is willing to take this responsibility because they are busy in passing bucks and thinking of new dictates.

But now the damage is done, Pragaash has given up and these moral heroes have won this mindless race and left these girls wondering. But one thing is sure they have not saved the culture but ruined the life and shattered the dreams of these young girls who will always in their fragile minds will carry along the guilt of suppression.
